What is Constructioner CX?

Constructioner is a PHP based software tool intended to create dynamic web applications. As a skilled PHP developer you can combine your own code with the advantages of a ready to go content management and administration system.

Philosophy and Aims

It's our goal to provide a software tool that enables web developers to create professional, high-end web applications. Using Constructioner CX for your projects you should have the following demands:

  • You need the possibility to build up web applications that fit to W3C, WCAG or other professional standards.
  • You like a reduced and manageable scope of software functionality instead of a countless (nearly) ready to use components building set.
  • Therefore you rather like to code your own template or menu instead of recoding an existing one.
  • The use of tables and their management play an important role in your projects.
  • You want to provide your customers a powerful, customizable and easy to use back office.
  • Performance, multilingualism, security, URI-rewriting, SEO are significant issues for you.

Constructioner History

Artware Multimedia GmbH started developing a standard content management system for their own clients in 2001. Known under the name Constructioner WebTechnology, version 2 of the software has been provided to other developers as commercial web application building software since 2002 for more than six years.

Meanwhile Artware improved and changed the software for own demands to a parallel coded Constructioner CX version, which changed more and more to a professional PHP web application development tool. The original possibility to build up a dynamic, database connected website even without any programming skills didn't exist any longer.

In August 2009 Artware made the decision to release Constructioner CX as an public Open Source project under the MPL 1.1 license. At the same time the old system has been discontinued, owners of an old license can update to a very last key-less version. An upgrade to the new Constructioner CX release is not possible because of the total renewed software architecture.
